"As an artist, I seek to create dialogues between people and the natural world, using flora, fauna and man-made objects as visual symbols driving dramatic storylines. These narratives are also entwined with my own experiences, memories, fears and sense of humor. I invite viewers to be present and engage with natural forms, noticing details and subtle connections.”
I was born in Michigan in 1993. my fine art studio practice focuses on drawing, printmaking, painting, and the spaces around and in between these mediums.
I am a working and teaching artist based in Flint, Michigan. I work at the Flint Institute of Arts Museum + Art School as the 2-D Programs Manager, where I teach and oversee studio operations and programs connected to painting, drawing, printmaking and youth programming.
I am also an artist collaborator and President of the Board of Directors at Buckham Gallery/Buckham Fine Arts Project. I hold degrees in General Studio Practice/Concentration: Painting (BFA 2018) and Art Education (BS 2018) from the University of Michigan-Flint. I was the University Musical Society/UM-Flint Flint Artist-In-Residence for the 2024-2025 Academic Year, where I focused on community engagement through large-scale relief printmaking.
